. SuspiciouslySimilarSong: 'Be Alert' from 'Tokyo Xtreme Racer' sounds pretty similar to Dave Rodgers' 'Manga/InitialD Beat of the Rising Sun'. 'Battle of the Empire' from '3' has a noticeable (yet fast-paced) tone in a similar vein to Akio's theme from 'VideoGame/WanganMidnight R'.
ThatOneBoss: D3 from TXR 3 'TXR 3' are absolute hell to beat. Not only do you have to race all three of them, but you have to do it all in 'one attempt'. 'ThisIsGonnaSuck one attempt'. As for most of the games, '???/Unknown' (which drives a dark blue =S30Z=) can really catch unprepared players off-guard and it's able to RubberBandAI rubberband if you attempt to outrun.
MostAnnoyingSound: Every time the announcer shouts 'ACTION!' ' during the drift segments in the Kaido Battle series' category races. Whether you're good at this mode or not, this 'will' get on your nerves eventually. The riff that plays every time a Wanderer rejects your request to race. The police siren that plays when the player gets a speeding ticket. Bonus points for also being a ScrappyMechanic.
What about the sound in =TXR3= when you lose? To clarify, when you lose, you are treated to an obnoxiously loud and high pitched electronic wail. Becomes even more annoying if you end up in a draw (when there is a fork in the road in which you take one way and your rival takes another way). Also from the same game, when a GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere FinalBoss challenges you.
It is creepy.
General hints and tips NITROYou only get one tank of nitro. When doing multiple races after another, or chain battles, use nitro sparingly. Nitro should mainly be used in the very beginning of a race. Use nitro to get ahead of your opponent and then switch the nitro off. When you're in the middle of a race and in 2nd place then nitro will rarely give you 1st place.
Don't use all your nitrous thinking you're going to close the distance. It's not going to happenNitro is automatically refilled when you visit the garage or a PA (PA = Parking Area). THE BIG PICTUREThis guide is aimed at getting the '???' A requirement for this achievement is to beat all teams, bosses and wanderers.
While beating all these opponents we will acquire all other quest-mode achievements by beating all teams and bosses. Once all teams and bosses are beaten we will focus on beating all wanderers. When all opponents are beaten we can challenge '???'
And gain the corresponding achievement. On the road to '???' There are four objectives.
The first three objectives are about getting a good car which will enable us to beat all opponents rather easily. Rather easily means the races themselves are easy AND no grinding for credits is necessary.
Objective four is about defeating the wanderers. CREDTIS GRINDINGWe start grinding for money when we have reached objective four; defeating the wanderers. Some wanderers require us to own a different car. Buying and upgrading these different cars is what we need the credits for.Grinding credits can be done by doing races.
I found it especially beneficial to race 'Mad Murdoc' all the time. Mad Murdoc is located in a PA which means our Nitro is refilled automatically after every race. Mad Murdoc has several battle buddies, but we have to race them all at once. Thus the race doesn't take longer than racing a single opponent.Beating Mat Murdoc awards us with over 1 million credits. By racing him repeatedly we can increase our modifier all the way from 1x to 2x. This means we will be earning almost 2.5 million with every race. QUEST MODE ACHIEVEMENTSAll quest-mode achievements are about beating one or more bosses.
This guide will do the quest mode achievements in a certain order. First Night, then Midnight, Daybreak and finally All. This order is not fixed and the achievements can be unlocked in a different order. The basics for beating a boss are as follows: Find the location of the boss by looking him up in the Rivals List. Then find all gangs in the same area and timezone and beat them. Often the boss will appear before you have beaten all gangs. TUNING?????To my surprise tuning is not a major part of the game.
All I had to do was buy the most expensive upgrade parts and slap them onto the car. Never did I have to look at gear ratios or change the DLC.Basically I only had to tune my car to meet the requirements of some wanderers. These requirements were simple things like: remove back spoiler, have different front and back wheels, have a carbon bonnet/hood, have a normal muffler etc.The only 'technical' tuning I had to do was minimize the height of the car. I think the minimum car height will benefit any car and does not have any disadvantages.
